Our Community needs to grow. Can you help? |
Now we want to develop and improve our services. We want to provide a new, higher level of care and support for people with more substantial and complex needs, especially people who are ageing. We need to raise enough money for another house - our fourth house - which will be for people who need a lot of help and care, available to them round the clock.

The fourth house will enable us to offer more places so that more people with learning disabilities can become members of L'Arche Edinburgh. Many adults with learning disabilities continue to be cared for by ageing parents who do not know how long they will be able to cope. There is a strong unmet demand in and around Edinburgh, for more supported accommodation, and L'Arche wants to help.
We expect the cost of our new house to be between £750,000 and £1 million. We have already raised about £350,000. We need people who are prepared to contribute some time, money, contacts, expertise, organisational ability and energy - just some of these will do fine! Please contact us if you can help in any way!
