Having fun is a key part of life in L’Arche. We choose activities we can all enjoy. |
Our aim is to create communities which welcome people with a learning disability and those who choose to live with them, or support them.
L'Arche seeks to respond to the unhappiness of those who too often are rejected and to give them a valid place in society.
L'Arche also seeks to reveal the gifts of people with disabilities.

The first new L'Arche community in Africa in 15 years is being established in Kenya at Nyahururu in the Great Rift Valley. The new community will provide a home and work opportunities for local people with learning disabilities.

We are currently looking for Live-in Assistants and Volunteers.

- Ageing - people need more intensive support as they grow older
- Housing - we have three homes in Leith and we need a fourth
We need a million pounds.
As of December 2011, we have raised nearly £342,000 - only £658,000 to go!
